Hello ICH Families,

This season will be fresh ice not only for the Iowa Heartlanders, but for our teams, too. Recently we applied for and received permission from the Heartlanders and the ECHL to create the Jr Heartlanders. Please rest assured that our association maintains autonomy 100% and will continue to operate as ICH. 

We'll maintain the Maidens of Mayhem, but transition the Blizzard to the Jr Heartlanders. We expect some challenges and the Heartlanders are working hard to support us, but we'll need everyone’s patience a little bit, too. 

We know, for example, that new jerseys have been ordered, but we may need to wear the Blizzard jerseys until they arrive. Please consider lending a jersey to players who don’t have one from last season. 

We also have an opportunity to do fundraising at Heartlander games throughout the season - please sign up to volunteer early and often. These are funds we can use to benefit all ICH players and teams. It should be fun and it’s a great way to share your excitement and perspective with families reaching out to learn more about opportunities for their children.

This is an exciting time for hockey enthusiasts in our community and our organization specifically. If you have concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me or any Board member.
